Job Summary
Assistant Group Supervisor role in School Age program at Rowan Elementary within the Seneca Valley School District. Full-time schedule 10:00am-6:00pm. Responsible for supporting Teachers and Group Supervisors by creating a caring and safe environment, assisting with activities to enhance care and education, engaging children, maintaining classroom order and materials, communicating effectively with children and parents, promoting self-help and hygiene, following Stepping Stones policies and DHS regulations, and pursuing ongoing professional development. Requires High School Diploma, at least 2 years of experience with children (2,500 hours), willingness to pursue a CDA/SAC or equivalent coursework, CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, ability to pass background and health screenings, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years (2,500 hours) of professional experience working/volunteering with children
- Willingness to complete a CDA, SAC or credit equivalent course work
- High energy
- Ability to work well with others
- An understanding of child development
- Ability to interact with children on different levels including the floor, lift/carry children and supplies, and move around the center while supervising children
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Must pass full background check, drug screening test and health screening
- Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software programs
- Ability to use basic office equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
