Job Summary
Coordinate annual scholarship distribution by receiving, reviewing, and mailing transcripts while maintaining a donor and award database. Serve as the primary contact for sponsors, promote opportunities through newsletters and school communications, and solicit student nominations. Facilitate scholarship chats, welcome college admissions representatives, and manage the scholarship committee. Plan the Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet and College Fair, chaperone information sessions, and assist students with NCAA eligibility registration. Write recommendation letters, attend workshops to stay current on financial aid, and conduct evening planning meetings for parents. Adhere strictly to all scholarship deadlines and exercise confidentiality regarding student information.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Must be able to: prepare, read and comprehend a variety of job related forms, reports, spreadsheets, maps, plans, records, documentation and correspondence in all languages required by the job
- Must be able to: understand and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style
- Must be able to: speak to individuals or groups of people with poise, voice control and confidence
- Must be able to: respond adequately to inquiries or complaints
- Must be able to: write using standard convention in all languages required by the job
- Must be able to: apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to: apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form
- Must be able to: communicate effectively and efficiently in all languages required by the job using whatever communication device or system is required (telephone, Braille)
