Job Summary
Plan and implement enrichment projects, recreational activities, and small-group lessons for K-5 students in after-school programs across Northeast, Southwest, Central Denver, Sheridan, and Westminster. Prepare lesson plans, manage on-campus and off-site tasks including field trips, and maintain a safe, clean environment while supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Provide positive opportunities for skill development and express creativity within a welcoming atmosphere. Work flexible hours between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm, up to 15 hours weekly, adhering to Colorado child care licensure rules and mandatory training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have at least 3 months (460 hours) of part time or equivalent satisfactory and verifiable experience with school aged children (ages 5-12)
- Must possess a current CPR/First Aid certificate or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date
- Must possess all child care licensing certifications within 30 days of hire date
- Must attend and complete all paid training requirements
- Must be able to work the scheduled program hours
- Must complete and pass criminal history background checks prior to the start of employment
- At least 1 year of experience with developing and implementing project based units for elementary-age students
- Experience working with elementary-age students
- Experience in classroom management
- Experience working with diverse populations
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish is desired
