Job Summary
The position requires a senior hardware designer responsible for designing, developing, and testing custom electronic hardware. Candidates must have experience with both analog and digital design, and the ability to implement high level architectural design in hardware. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years of applicable work experience is preferred. The ideal candidate should have expertise in the architecture, design, and verification of multi-core processor ASICs, along with familiarity in using CAD tools such as ConceptHDL and Orcad. Additionally, excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in both analog and digital design.
- Experience designing and testing custom electronic hardware.
- Ability to implement high level design in hardware, including low level glue logic.
- Familiarity with major computer interfaces (PCI, PCIe, I2C, SPI, etc.).
- Working knowledge of FPGAs (Altera, Xilinx, or Lattice).
- Proficient in CAD tools for schematic capture (ConceptHDL, Orcad, etc.).
- Experience in generating netlists and resolving errors in report generation.
- Expertise in ASIC design, verification of multi-core processor ASICs.
- Ability to design at gate level for ASIC applications.
- Leadership skills to supervise verification team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in PCB layout and CAD tools such as Allegro is a plus.
- Familiarity with the design of microcontroller based circuits is desirable.
