Job Summary
Manage pre-registration, scheduling, and electronic verification of insurance eligibility for complex diagnostic testing across multiple facilities and states. Handle high-dollar events and study-specific instructions while accurately identifying and collecting patient financial responsibility to initiate the billing process. Coordinate with service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Requires five plus years of scheduling experience in an acute care setting and proficiency in scheduling systems. Must obtain National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- comprehensive knowledge of multiple scheduling systems
- demonstrated proficiency in complex diagnostic testing appointment scheduling processes
- minimum of five plus (5) years of scheduling experience in an acute care setting
- Ability to schedule for multiple facility with significant variants in protocols
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) to Five (5) years experience in area of expertise such as scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access
- National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA
- proficiency in the use of Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems & related software systems
