Job Summary
Scheduling Specialist supports physicians and staff by ensuring the successful completion of scheduling surgical cases and posting all cases with Surgery Scheduling at SRH and TOSC. Primary point of contact for patients scheduled for procedures inside or outside the clinic. Releases OR block scheduled time in the appropriate manner. Proficient use of practice management and electronic medical record systems as the primary source of documentation for all patient visits and correspondence. Completes all required training when scheduled to prevent delinquencies. Requires high school graduation or equivalent, strong organization, excellent customer service, computer skills, initiative, maturity, confidentiality, prioritization, and ability to collaborate across departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Must be very organized with a high level of accountability
- Must have excellent customer service skills and qualified computer skills
- Demonstrates initiative and maturity, with good interpersonal/telephone skills
- Is able to set priorities, maintain confidentiality
