Job Summary
Answer calls to the central scheduling line with warmth and efficiency, serving as the first point of contact for clients. Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments while updating changes in the electronic medical record system. Act as the primary contact for Spanish-speaking clients, providing clear communication and routing messages appropriately. Coordinate closely with clinical staff to understand scheduling needs and preferences. Screen calls, provide helpful information, and maintain strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- A compassionate, respectful, and professional approach when working with clients and families
- Ability to quickly build rapport and maintain positive relationships
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Proficiency with computers, including typing and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a medical office or familiarity with medical terminology
- Comfort using standard office equipment (phones, printers, fax machines, payment systems)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual Stipend: $28.85 per pay period (based on Spanish proficiency assessment upon hire)
