Job Summary
Prioritize and schedule inbound loads to ensure highest customer service levels and distribution efficiency. Use the online dock scheduling system to expedite high-priority rush shipments and coordinate timely resolution on past due purchase orders. Assist manufacturers and carriers in system utilization, create inter-facility transfers, and manage weekly storage pullbacks while maintaining minimum weight and cube standards. Communicate daily with Buying Assistants, Buyers, Supervisors, and Directors regarding variances, exceptions, and expedited order status. Work the 1st shift with a flexible schedule including weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies
- High School Diploma - General Studies
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekend coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- preferable knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Professional customer service skills
- Efficient and professional communication skills, both verbally and through email
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Outstanding attention to detail
