Job Summary
Coordinate dental appointments, collect copays, and manage multiple phone lines while answering calls and taking messages. Review patient treatment plans, verify dental insurance benefits, and assist with Oral Surgery, Dental, and Medical insurance billing and coding. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and cross-train on new programs as required. Perform other duties as assigned in a fast-paced, high-tech privately owned dental practice. Full-time role with competitive wages, 1-week to 4 weeks vacation, 401K matching, and profit sharing. No evenings or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the dental field
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow directions
- Strong organizational and anticipation skills
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Open Dental/Dentrix or similar dental software
- Experience with dental Insurance benefit verifications
- 2 years of dental experience
- Knowledge of dental scheduling software
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as required
- Friendly personality, Positive attitude, and ability to work effectively with a Team
- History of being cross-trained or willing to cross-train
- Experience with Oral Surgery, Dental, and Medical insurance billing and coding
