Job Summary
Scheduling Coordinator manages patient appointments and surgeries across the Beverly Hills Clinic, maintains master calendars, obtains necessary authorizations, coordinates pre-op and post-op activities, reviews/codes charge slips, ensures patient charts and medical records are ready, communicates with patients, clinicians, and departments, and supports insurance verification and billing processes. The role requires strong communication, familiarity with healthcare software (e.g., Cerner, GE Centricity), clerical/administrative proficiency, and a patient-focused approach to scheduling and care coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Req High school or equivalent
- Req 2 years Experience in a health care setting
- Req Prior experience in a clerical, administrative, and/or receptionist role
- Req 1 year Experience with surgical coordination
- Req 6 months Prior experience with surgical authorizations
- Req Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently
- Req Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology
- Req In depth knowledge of all insurance types
- Req Working knowledge of scheduling coordination within or supporting the surgical departments
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
