Scheduling Coordinator and Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Manage appointment workflows by interpreting scheduling requests, coordinating provider schedules across nursing, transportation, and therapy departments, and ensuring timely completion of scheduling paperwork. Answer phone calls promptly to set up appointments, relay accurate messages, and maintain medical records for internal and external providers. Perform clinical duties including measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, administering injections, and conducting EKGs and venipuncture under physician direction. Ensure all medical procedures follow CLIA guidelines and maintain a clean, safe environment. Coordinate participant flow for tests and procedures while demonstrating strong customer service skills in all interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree in Healthcare
  • Clerical background
  • general computer skills
  • Knowledge in medical terminology
  • EKG
  • Injections
  • Venipuncture
  • Performance of common lab tests according to establish CLIA guidelines and TriHealth policy
  • Experience in medical/physician office setting
