Job Summary
Manage case requests and ensure accuracy of pre-authorizations and clinical screenings before placing procedures on the schedule. Monitor requested times for alignment with case time averaging and scheduling policies, collaborating with procedural area leadership to determine placement appropriateness and room availability. Act as the primary point of contact for procedural scheduling for all UAMS departments and clinics, supporting staff and providers while meeting capacity, access, and utilization targets. Requires high-level Epic Optime skills and a focus on perioperative utilization metrics.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate, GED, or formal education equivalent
- Seven years of training and/or experience in business office administration, customer service, or related work
- Three years' experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years' experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment
- High level of skill and understanding of Epic Optime
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
