Scheduling Assistant

Job Summary
Answer inbound calls to schedule appointments for new or existing patients across all locations and collect patient medical history into the electronic medical record. Assist with scheduling and contact center activities while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and adhering to US HIPAA laws. Perform other duties as assigned to streamline healthcare workflows and improve patient experiences in a virtual environment. This remote part-time role requires a candidate who lives in Mississippi and possesses strong communication skills and a caring attitude towards patients. Derick Dermatology provides necessary equipment including a secure laptop, monitor, headset, and webcam.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Friendly, polite, and professional
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Empathy and a caring attitude towards patients
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to US HIPAA laws and other relevant regulations
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Quiet, private workspace
- Must live in Mississippi
- Monday through Friday 11am-7:15pm CST
- One Saturday per month from 6:45am to 12:45pm
