Job Summary
Coordinate daily check-in, scheduling, and back-end duties alongside the Practice Coordinator to facilitate patient flow. Greet patients at the front desk, update electronic medical records, collect co-pays, and manage insurance information during registration. Schedule surgical procedures, compile booking sheets, and handle prior authorizations for diagnostic testing. Direct incoming phone calls and manage referrals, while ensuring proper consents for state wards and patient proxies. Communicate professionally with providers, clinical teams, and insurance companies to support the clinical workflow and maintain accurate patient data.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Ability to multi-task in a high patient volume unit
- Ability to learn and utilize resources
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions
- Good judgement and ability to problem solve
