Job Summary
Develop pre-construction and construction job schedules to maintain timely and profitable job completion. Update and monitor project team schedule updates while leading bid, proposal, and subcontractor schedule development. Prepare and analyze "as built" schedules, oversee month-end reports, and flag scheduling risks for communication with teams. Perform delay and labor productivity analysis to calculate costs for change orders and claims, assisting in mediation and trade contractor negotiations. Manage P6 database activities, including activity coding, cost loading, and resource management, while delivering hands-on schedule trainings. Communicate weekly KPI dashboards and project health metrics to management, ensuring data accuracy against labor productivity rates. Requires 7 years of construction experience including 5 years in scheduling, proficiency with P6 and Bluebeam, and knowledge of contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent
- 7 years of construction experience including 5 years scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience with construction-related scheduling
- Critical Path Method
- Working knowledge of construction methods and processes
- Knowledge of financial management systems and construction cost accounting
- Knowledge of contract requirements and notice requirements
- Estimating and scheduling skills
- Understands job cost information
- Able to read and understand plans and specifications
- Proficiency with P6 Professional, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in scheduling and productivity claims, a plus
- Working knowledge of virtual construction technology systems
