Job Summary
Coordinate production flow and ensure timely movement of parts to meet customer delivery schedules while collaborating with production planners, inspection, and shop teams to resolve bottlenecks. Update the production and inventory control system with accurate information, stage work across manufacturing areas, and split or reassign work orders as needed. Troubleshoot discrepancies in paperwork or system data, develop daily work schedules and short-range capacity plans, and monitor capacity conflicts through reassignments or rerouting. Track work order and purchase order status, prepare customer reports, coordinate material releases, and move materials using forklifts or carts. Train less experienced employees and adhere to safety rules while working onsite in Ogden, UT on a 1st shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must be local to the Ogden, UT area
- Minimum three years of dispatching, shop scheduling, or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment
- Proficient in MRP2 concepts
- Knowledgeable in material requirements planning
- Knowledgeable in capacity planning
- Knowledgeable in shop floor control
- Knowledge of AMAPS
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing routings
- Thorough understanding of travelers
- Thorough understanding of blueprints
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to provide leadership and training in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with A.P.I.C.S. concepts/principles
