Job Summary
The Scheduler coordinates patient surgeries by contacting facilities to schedule procedures, arranging pre-op and post-op appointments, providing medication and facility directions, and ensuring preop clearances and labs are completed. Responsibilities include maintaining the surgery calendar to keep providers’ schedules full, handling consent forms and ABNs, confirming patient arrival and NPO details during pre-op calls, coordinating insurance verification, addressing surgery-related billing and problem resolution, and issuing patient instructions. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance (including Out of Network), and ICD-10/CPT coding, with at least one year of surgery scheduling, medical office, and customer service experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Knowledgeable in surgery billing, ICD-10 and CPT coding
- 1 year surgery scheduling experience
- 1 year medical office experience
- 1 year customer service experience
- High school or equivalent (Required)
