Job Summary

Scheduler IV responsible for coordinating the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies, reviewing contractor schedules for conformance and quality assurance, evaluating change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule, performing time impact analyses of delays and potential claims, participating in change order negotiations, conducting Critical Path and Earned Value analyses, identifying schedule-related problems and proposing corrective actions, conducting site visits for progress reporting, reviewing contractor progress and preparing narratives for management decisions, evaluating contractor recovery schedules, performing cost analysis in support of design and construction phases of capital projects, analyzing actual expenditures versus budget performance, preparing cost-loaded schedules to support cash flow projections, and applying Build LACCD contracts, policies, and procedures with strong communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling
  • Experience with time impact analysis
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders
  • Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication
