Job Summary
Schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of a single facility to expedite production. Reviews master production schedule and work orders; establishes priorities for specific customer orders. Revises schedule according to work order specifications, priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment. Compiles reports on progress and downtime to apprise production planning personnel of delays. Maintains inventory of materials and parts and expedites production of spare parts with delivery dates for orders. May mentor lower level schedulers.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Directly related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
