Job Summary
Scheduler I is responsible for routine planning and scheduling assignments using basic scheduling principles with oversight. Responsibilities include drafting schedules using CPM scheduling programs, monitoring and updating project schedules, assisting site management to formulate mitigation plans for scheduling issues, and building relationships across diverse teams. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field, with basic knowledge of scheduling concepts, standard construction practices, and plan/spec interpretation; plus the ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments, demonstrate analytical/problem-solving skills, and effective communication. Experience with Primavera P6 or Power Project is a plus. The role offers a base pay range of $78,800 to $98,500 and is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan; visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field
- Prior experience on construction job sites highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software
- Basic knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
- Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving problems
- Basic plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
- Active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Excellent organization skills and a strong desire to learn
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Power Project software a plus
