Job Summary
Manage and coordinate the scheduling of Direct Support Professionals across designated homes and programs to maintain staffing levels per company policies, regulatory standards, and client needs. Collaborate with Care Team Managers, Program Directors, and Home Managers to schedule shifts, training, and job shadowing opportunities while resolving scheduling conflicts. Oversee the efficient use of the Scheduling Application to ensure accurate and timely scheduling, monitor staff allocation to reduce overtime and turnover, and assist in filling shifts to maintain service levels. Work closely with admissions, finance, recruiting, and operations teams to strategize labor and payroll efficiencies. This role supports Beacon Specialized Living's mission by ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, protecting confidential information, and fostering a safe community environment across Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of previous operations and/or supervisory experience in a residential care environment
- Proven experience in scheduling, staffing, or administrative support
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Knowledge of relevant scheduling software and tools
- Understanding of labor laws and regulations, particularly in healthcare or similar fields
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language
- Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs
- Ability to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems
- Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team
- Strong computer skills utilizing various software programs and applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A professional demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with little daily supervision
- This position is 100% on-site
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related social science discipline is preferred
