Scheduler - ASC

Schedule procedures and surgeries accurately and without conflicts, determining case length and special equipment needs. Enter data into the Electronic Health Record system and coordinate with insurance verifications while maintaining current CPT and ICD-9 codes. Distribute timely surgery schedules and obtain physician signatures where required, serving as a liaison between physicians, staff, and the nursing team. Maintain patient confidentiality, ensure a safe work environment, and communicate effectively via telephone internally and externally. Requires two years of medical office experience and strong coding knowledge. Located at the new Huntsville Surgical Partners Ambulatory Surgery Center near Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
