Job Summary
The Scheduled Service Technician will perform routine scheduled maintenance and inspections for Commercial Engine customers and rental fleet equipment. Tasks include analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, repairing or replacing engine and vehicle system components, and documenting service activities using computerized service reports. The role requires excellent communication skills and adherence to safety procedures while working in the field.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess the necessary hand tools
- Able to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
- Valid CA driver’s license or ability to obtain one
- Able to obtain a class A or B commercial license within 6 months
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in diesel mechanics/related field
- Experience with OEM Technical software
Additional Requirements
- Must be a member of Operating Engineers Local 3 or willing to become one
- A drug screen and background check is required
