Job Summary

Develop and maintain multiple project schedules by integrating vendor inputs into master plans, creating Work Breakdown Structures, and performing Critical Path analysis. Execute schedule variance analysis, generate metrics reports, and evaluate progress against baselines while leading status meetings with stakeholders. Manage scope change records, analyze change order impacts, and perform resource leveling. Utilize Microsoft Project and OnePager Pro to establish baselines, network tasks, and identify float and driving paths. Statuse schedules using remaining duration methods and implement change control processes. Requires three to nine years of schedule development experience, including two years in DoD acquisition environments, with an Active Secret Security Clearance. On-site in St. Inigoes, MD, with a salary range of $70,000 to $110,000.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business discipline
  • Three (3) to nine (9) years of experience developing/maintaining project schedules
  • At least two of those years must be in project or program analysis of complex systems in the DoD (Department of the Navy (DON) acquisition environment
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to complete the full background investigation
  • Demonstrated ability to perform functional duties independently
  • Experience using Microsoft Project in a role and environment comparable to being a scheduler at NAVAIR
  • Experience with schedule development and maintenance using Microsoft Project including activities such as: Adding tasks/milestones and maintaining associated task/milestone information including duration, constraints, custom fields, and notes
  • Adding and maintaining schedule elements that network tasks together including predecessors/successors, lead/lags
  • Identifying and isolating for analysis & reporting early dates, late dates, free float, total float, driving paths and critical paths
  • Establishing schedule baselines
  • Statusing tasks and schedules using the remaining duration method
  • Calculating and analyzing metrics that indicate the health and integrity of schedule construction, then taking action to improve the health of the schedule
  • Experience with software used to develop summary schedules such as One Pager Pro
  • Experience guiding a team through the schedule development process resulting in a baselined Integrated Master Schedule
  • Experience developing and implementing basic scheduling process such as planning, statusing, reporting, and change control
  • Experience contributing to development of Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Master Plans and other project documents that serve as the foundation of planning
  • Exposure to projects involving engineering, test and evaluation, software development, acquisition, procurement, or logistics
  • A basic knowledge and understanding of the NAVAIR organization and the acquisition process
  • Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
  • Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • DAU Level II Certification or equivalent – Program Management or Business
  • PMI-SP, Microsoft Scheduling Certificate or PMP
  • Earned Value Management training and/or experience
  • OnePager Pro proficiency or experience
  • Project Management Office (PMO) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business discipline, preferred
  • In lieu of a degree, years of applicable experience may be substituted
