Job Summary
Deliver American Heart Association and American Red Cross CPR/BLS training sessions to individuals and groups while demonstrating proper CPR and AED techniques. Evaluate student performance, provide clear feedback, and ensure all participants meet certification requirements. Prepare lesson plans and maintain training equipment, including managing at least three manikin sets. Work in person at scheduled weekend classes or client sites such as offices, schools, and community centers. This part-time role requires valid instructor certification and the ability to stand for extended periods while lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CPR/BLS Instructor Certification
- Valid CPR Instructor Certification
- Strong knowledge of CPR and AED procedures
- Clear communication and teaching skills
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable time-management skills
- Ability to work with students of different experience levels
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and transport training equipment up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to physically demonstrate proper CPR and AED skills during class
- Weekday availability is preferred
