Job Summary
Perform as assigned characters throughout shifts at Oaks Amusement Park, delivering immersive scare experiences using movement, voice, and improvisation. Stay in character while interacting with guests, adapting performances to changing crowd flow and maintaining attraction atmosphere. Attend rehearsals and workshops to develop unique performance styles, accepting coaching from production staff. Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures, reporting hazards immediately to ensure guest and cast member security. Work extended periods standing or moving through dark, loud environments with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old (performers under 18 may require parental consent)
- Able to perform for extended periods while standing, walking, crouching, or moving through themed environments
- Comfortable working in dark, loud, and theatrical settings
- Reliable transportation to Oaks Amusement Park
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Dependable attendance throughout the season
- Seasonal evening and weekend position
- Cast members are expected to attend rehearsals prior to opening
- Cast members are expected to work scheduled shifts throughout the Halloween season
- Cast members are expected to work weekends and peak event nights
