Job Summary
Embody assigned horror characters through sudden movements, vocalizations, and strategic hiding to startle guests while delivering consistent, convincing performances. Utilize improvisation to adapt scare tactics based on guest reactions and collaborate with team members to maintain a cohesive terrifying experience. Prioritize guest and team safety by strictly following all operational guidelines and protocols. This role requires physical stamina for extended hours of standing, crouching, and moderate running, along with comfort in dark, intense environments. Applicants must be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts during the 2026 operating season from August through November. Located in Dade City, Florida, SCREAM-A-GEDDON is a premier haunted house experience produced by industry leaders in Tampa Bay.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to act and portray characters convincingly with a range of emotions and expressions
- Ability to follow a script
- Comfortable working in dark and intense environments, and unafraid to engage with a diverse range of guests
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, crouching, and moderate running during extended hours
- A creative mindset to develop unique scare tactics and maintain character consistency
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with a team of scare actors and event staff
- Punctual and dependable, with a commitment to fulfilling scheduled shifts
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during our operating season
- Available to work evenings and weekends, particularly during the Halloween season or other special events
- Full availability during the period from September 24 through November 1
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a haunted attraction or similar scare-based role
- A genuine interest in horror movies, haunted houses, and the Halloween season
- Training or experience in acting, improv, or theater arts
