Job Summary
Scale Operator/Scalehouse Attendant providing on-site management of truck traffic, weighing inbound and outbound loads, verifying load compliance through Origin & Destination forms, entering load data into internal systems, maintaining accurate scale tickets, enforcing DEP and site safety requirements including PPE, keeping the scale house orderly, and delivering customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public. Requires attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts; includes potential for additional hours and alignment with a labor agreement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with records systems preferred
