Job Summary
Weigh and maintain accurate records for incoming and outgoing deliveries while securing a clean scale area. Conduct routine operational checks on vehicular scales, collect samples for quality analysis, and prepare spreadsheets as needed. Direct customers to loading/unloading zones, manage traffic flow with the guard, and answer phones. Follow California Department of Food and Agriculture procedures and FSMA requirements to document carrier load information. Work any shift, including weekends, in dusty and noisy conditions with outdoor weather exposure.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to write by hand, type, and perform other repetitive motions
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment is a must
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Great attitude
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & etc.) and 10 key
- Oral and written communications
- Strong commitment to quality and excellent time and self-management skills
- Work any shift and weekends when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous weighmaster experience preferred but not required
