Job Summary
Operate scale equipment to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles, determine charges, and verify load information in the computerized system. Receive payment from customers, provide receipts, and document full transactions while maintaining daily receipts and accurate billing. Accept or reject loads based on content standards, measure customer vehicles, and perform routine clerical duties including report preparation and paperwork maintenance. Collaborate with haulers and temp agencies to print work orders, distribute delivery receipts, and schedule preventive maintenance for rental trailers. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, frequently walking between locations, and manage high-volume work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk frequently between customer locations (100–200 times per day, as required)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via radio, intercom, phone, and in-person interactions
- Ability to manage a high volume of work in a professional, organized, and efficient manner
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems effectively
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure while treating others with respect
- Basic math skills to accurately calculate charges, process payments, make change, and reconcile daily receipts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers
- Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to travel between offices, as required
- Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
