Job Summary
Operate and monitor scale equipment to accurately measure and record the weight of materials and products for incoming and outgoing shipments. Process detailed records of weighing transactions, including tickets and data entry, while assisting customers and drivers with procedures. Verify measurement accuracy against standards, maintain the facility's cleanliness and safety, and perform routine equipment checks. Troubleshoot basic malfunctions and process payment transactions using cash or digital systems. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while communicating operational issues to management. Requires proven attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials.
Required Qualifications
- Proven attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and verify measurements
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and calculations
- Experience operating weighing equipment or similar industrial machinery
- Competency in record-keeping and documentation procedures
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to perform duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
