Job Summary
Dispatch trucks in alignment with daily job requirements and maintain accurate reporting for shipments. Perform daily clerical functions in support of truck drivers and sales, communicate effectively with customers, truckers, and co-workers, and maintain the scale house in a clean, orderly condition. Adhere to safety policies, DOT/FMCSA regulations, and company procedures; follow Foreman directions for tasks and projects; build professional relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and public agencies; be prepared for periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime; wear required safety gear and maintain a professional image. The ideal candidate has high school credentials, 1-3 years of related experience, familiarity with DOT rules (preferred), and the ability handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations preferred but not required
