Job Summary
Operate automated truck scales and specialized software to capture tare and gross weights for asphalt and aggregate products. Accurately enter customer data, product codes, and haulage information into the ticketing system to produce official proof-of-purchase documents. Ensure all outbound trucks comply with state-specific legal weight limits and coordinate with plant operators to verify correct mix and tonnage. Direct incoming and outgoing truck traffic, answer customer inquiries regarding availability and pricing, and process cash and credit sales. Research and resolve ticket discrepancies or customer complaints, administer safety training for visitors and drivers, and maintain meticulous records of tonnage and inventory. Maintain a clean scale house environment and perform routine equipment checks. Requires on-site work in all weather conditions, including travel between plant locations, with a base salary of $25-$30.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- 1–2 years in an asphalt or construction-related environment
- Familiarity with heavy equipment or trucking operations
- Familiarity with scale operations
- OSHA Compliance and regulations
- Technical and administrative aptitude (proprietary weighing software)
- Data entry precision
- DOT

- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods
- Ability to walk across steep, rough, or uneven terrain

Desired Qualifications
