Job Summary
Erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold systems and environmental containment systems, including plastic sheeting, shrink-wrap, and temporary enclosures. Read and interpret scaffold drawings, install guardrails and fall protection, and maintain proper tagging procedures. Mentor apprentice scaffolders, coordinate with Lead Foremen and other trades, and report hazards while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and customer specifications. Maintain clean work areas and deliver quality workmanship independently with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of scaffold experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold systems
- Proficiency in environmental containment installation
- Ability to read scaffold drawings and work instructions
- Strong safety record
- Ability to mentor apprentice scaffolders
- Thorough understanding of scaffold construction methods
- Knowledge of environmental containment installation techniques
- Ability to read scaffold drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of OSHA scaffold standards
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
