Job Summary
Supervise a crew or direct up to three Foreman 1s to erect and dismantle various scaffolding types without continuous supervision. Act as the competent person on site per OSHA and Sunbelt guidelines while managing project schedules, costs, and customer communications. Ensure intended scaffold loads are not exceeded by understanding material types and implementing solutions for identified problem areas. Requires high school diploma, five years of combined experience as a carpenter, lead carpenter, and foreman, a valid driver's license, and ability to work at considerable heights.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Combined experience as Scaffold E&D Carpenter, Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter and Scaffold E&D Foreman 1 for a minimum of 5 years or approved equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- Project management skills
- Must have project management skills i.e. time and schedule management, cost control, customer communication, identify problem areas and implement solutions
- Must have good knowledge of the OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding
- Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used so that the intended loads of the scaffolding are not exceeded
- Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
- Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 40 pounds or more, and work indoors/outdoors when required by the job
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school preferred, but not required
- Bilingual a plus
