Job Summary
Install and dismantle scaffolding in accordance with MDM Scaffolding safety guidelines, federal, state, and local laws. Band equipment for loading and unloading trucks, stage and mobilize, set scaffold bases, frame, tie off equipment, hoist loads, and climb ladders. Monitor site compliance with safety programs, document concerns, and communicate effectively with superintendents and customers. Perform administrative duties including inventory, safety meetings, time-tracking, and reading blueprints. Operate company vehicles requiring a valid driver's license and DOT Medical Card. Maintain a clean, professional image while working non-traditional hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of scaffold experience in commercial or industrial markets
- Experience using forklift
- Experience using hammer
- Experience using pry-bar
- Experience using banding tools
- Experience using power tools (i.e. drill motor, screw guns)
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to present a clean and professional image
- Availability at non-traditional hours to complete projects according to contract or job requirement
- Ability to do basic math
- Active/valid driver's license
- DOT Medical Card
- DOT driver file
- Ability to comply with drug & alcohol testing requirements
- Ability to frequently stand, and/or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move and/or pull up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance) of scaffolding equipment, which may include lifting 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance) of scaffolding above shoulders (6-7 feet) to erect and dismantle scaffolding and to load onto trucks or racks
- Capability to continuously carry/wear harness and work belt weighing 25-50 pounds while installing and dismantling scaffolding
- Ability to climb onto trailers or trucks and onto racks to secure and move equipment
- Ability to climb ladders to access scaffolding up to high precarious places
Desired Qualifications
- Scaffold experience in the commercial or industrial markets
- Education generally equivalent to a High School diploma
