SCAFFOLD BUILDER - Austin Industrial - St Gabriel

Job Summary
Determine scaffold type, inspect job sites and materials for defects, and communicate safety hazards before construction. Transport tubular scaffold materials, erect structures to required dimensions, hoist supplies, and secure locking sections to permanent structures. Perform final inspections, dismantle scaffolding upon communication, and properly stow materials. Adhere to OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding. Supervise 1 to 5 scaffold builder helpers in the Operations Department. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a TWIC Card and valid state ID.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Certification as a lubrication technician
- 3 years' minimum experience within the Scaffolding craft
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to read and speak fluent English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- TWIC Card
- Valid State ID
- Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision

- Ability to adjust focus
