Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and delivery of PLC and SCADA systems for municipal and industrial infrastructure projects. Independently program, test, and commission control systems in live plant environments while executing on-site and remote troubleshooting for scheduled and unscheduled service support. Configure and deploy SCADA/HMI platforms, develop technical specifications and system documentation, and design industrial OT networks to enable secure data flow between PLCs, SCADA, and enterprise systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to maintain independent delivery accountability across the full automation lifecycle from design through operational handover.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on PLC programming experience with Rockwell Automation platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
- Expert level experience configuring and supporting iFix, and AVEVA
- Proven implementation and troubleshooting experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus)
- Practical experience in system commissioning, startup support, and operator assistance
- Strong understanding of industrial networking, including Ethernet (copper/fibre), segmentation, and firewalls
- Ability to produce control system specifications, PCNs, architecture diagrams, and networking documentation
- Comfort contributing complementary skills such as shop drawing review, control schematics, or drafting support (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Emerson RX3i, Schneider Modicon (M340/M580), or GE Fanuc
- Experience with VTScada and/or Ignition, ClearSCADA, Survalent, or Geo SCADA
