Job Summary
Own and evolve the SCADA platform by leading upgrades, deployments, and technology improvements. Standardize systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously enhance operational reliability. Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, and producers to support leak detection initiatives and create consistent operational data. Develop training materials, guide technical decisions, and coordinate with vendors to influence the future growth of the SCADA environment. This role requires 5+ years with Inductive Automation Ignition and experience programming PLCs in industrial settings. Candidates must work in both office and field environments, occasionally traveling up to 10% to active energy basins and working outside normal business hours.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years working with Inductive Automation Ignition
- Strong experience with Ignition Perspective
- Familiarity with MQTT, Sparkplug, Modbus, and Node-RED
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux
- Experience troubleshooting and improving industrial automation systems
- Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs in an industrial environment
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems and field instrumentation
- Experience supporting oilfield, midstream, industrial automation, or similar operational environments
- Candidates must be able to occasionally climb ladders, crawl, crouch, kneel and lift up to 15 pounds
- Frequent verbal and written communication is required
- This position requires occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) to field locations within the United States
- Candidates must be willing to work outside normal business hours and maintain a flexible schedule based on operational needs
