Job Summary
Design and program SCADA and plant control systems for solar, storage, and hybrid renewable projects. Develop custom application logic, capture client requirements, and coordinate with owners, utilities, and contractors to meet operational and regulatory needs. Install, troubleshoot, test, and commission RTUs, PLCs, and HMIs for active power curtailment, reactive power control, and energy management systems. Create detailed design documentation, commissioning guides, and operator manuals while leading continuous improvement efforts to achieve zero-failure rates. Engage directly with Developers, EPCs, and ISOs to drive system reliability and uptime across utility-scale sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or related field, preferably with controls major
- Ability to communicate with team members and business partners
- 2+ years of IEC 61131-3/PLC programming experience, including structured text and function blocks
- 2+ years of SCADA development
- Ignition experience
- Working knowledge of programming language
- Python
- Experience in setting up virtual machines on physical servers

- Working knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus-TCP, DNP3, OPC-UA, IEC 61850 and ICCP
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously

- Travel, 20-30%
