Job Summary
SCADA Engineer sought to develop and integrate SCADA solutions and MES/HMI interfaces. Responsibilities include enabling data exchange between PLCs and corporate systems (ERP/WMS) using REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, and JSON-RPC; leveraging Python and SQL to implement solutions; contributing to enterprise-scale Digital Transformation/Industry 4.0 initiatives and OEE/MES workflows; collaborating with business users to translate requirements into technical solutions; performing hands-on troubleshooting and multi-project management in a dynamic environment; communicating effectively and maintaining professional integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with STEM focus (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or related
- Experience delivering business application solutions and integrations with a bias to leverage existing applications/tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects
- Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA (Ignition) integrations with PLCs and ERP/WMS systems
- Programming experience in Python, SQL; familiarity with REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC
- Understanding of ERP and WMS systems as they pertain to workflow of raw materials to finished goods
- Experience in enterprise-scale Digital Transformation/Industry 4.0 initiatives
- Understanding of OEE concepts and MES platforms
- Hands-on software troubleshooting experience
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience with integrated development environments
