Job Summary
Research architecture standards, design and implement major SCADA systems, and coordinate technology acquisitions while adhering to corporate security policies and regulatory requirements. Provide root cause analysis for incidents, troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple technologies, and assist in developing standardized code for communications between field remote terminal units and SCADA hosts. Proactively monitor solutions to reduce outage occurrence and length, anticipate potential technical issues, and implement recommendations for infrastructure capacity planning. Deliver 24x7 on-call support for specific areas of expertise, communicate project objectives to business partners and vendors, and adjust work schedules to prioritize multiple assignments. Moderate travel (10-50%) may be required for field testing, implementation, and international trips.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years college, preferably in a technology discipline
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent discipline
- SCADA Systems Administration
- Network/Security certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of SCADA technologies and industry best practices
- Technical proficiency in SCADA system and operating software and administration
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with all levels in the organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of field SCADA hardware and ability to provide technical support
- Must possess working knowledge of multiple complex SCADA field device protocols (BSAP, ROC, etc.)
- Working knowledge of communications / systems networking
- Demonstrated ability to leverage business applications for competitive advantage
- MS Word - intermediate proficiency
- MS Excel - intermediate proficiency
- MS Visio - intermediate proficiency
- MS PowerPoint - intermediate proficiency
- Moderate Traveler (10-50%)
- Ability to reach above shoulder-level
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- 24x7 systems and operations support
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent discipline and SCADA Systems Administration, or Network/Security certification
- Preferred: Working knowledge of domain administration, network security and windows platform best practices
