Job Summary
Senior SCADA & Controls Engineering Manager responsible for leading OT/SCADA strategy and a high-performing engineering team across diverse energy assets. Owns reliability, cybersecurity posture, and lifecycle management of OT systems, partnering with IT, Cybersecurity, Operations, and OEMs. Defines enterprise-wide SCADA/OT standards (e.g., Ignition), drives capital projects, and aligns SCADA capabilities with growth, acquisitions, and operational objectives. Oversees design, implementation, and lifecycle management of SCADA systems, RTUs, and data historians; ensures high availability and performance. Leads security and compliance with NERC CIP standards, governs access controls and network segmentation, and leads audits. Manages vendor relationships and explores emerging technologies, including analytics and cloud integration of operational data. Travel ~25–40% to sites; not eligible for visa sponsorship; US work authorization required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8–12+ years of experience in SCADA, controls engineering, or OT systems within power generation or related industries
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams or technical programs
- Deep expertise with SCADA systems, RTUs, data historians (e.g., PI), and protocols such as DNP3, OPC, Modbus
- Experience supporting renewable (wind/solar/BESS) and/or thermal generation assets
- Preferred: Ignition, Wonderware, or similar SCADA platforms; familiarity with SEL-RTAC, networks, and ICS architecture; knowledge of NERC CIP; scripting/automation tools (Python)
- Experience leading capital projects, integrations, or large-scale deployments
- Ability to travel ~25–40% to operating sites
- Work authorization in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
