Job Summary
Course Instructor for SC101 B: Essential Skills for Math Fall 2026. Thorough review of pre-university skills in algebra, trigonometry and functions, covering algebraic manipulations, analytic geometry, polynomial/rational/exponential/logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Includes discussion of specific learning strategies to help students transition from high school mathematics to university expectations. Course will not count towards program requirements in mathematics. Emphasis on preparing course documents using LaTeX and delivering an in-person 3-hours-per-week lecture to an anticipated class size of 40.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in Mathematics or Statistics
- Discipline: Mathematics or Statistics
- Areas of Specialization: Mathematics or Statistics
- Professional Designation: MA or MSc degree or higher in Mathematics or Statistics
- Ability to prepare course documents using LaTeX
Additional Requirements
- Internal members of the CTF bargaining unit as defined by Article 13.7.2.17 will be considered.
