Job Summary
Perform comprehensive assessments for new and established oncology and hematology patients, managing complex cases including side effect treatment, diagnosis, and infusion reaction management. Serve as primary clinical support for the infusion center by triaging issues, interpreting lab and radiology results, and administering intrathecal chemotherapy. Formulate survivorship care plans for curable patients, initiate palliative care referrals, and coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialty providers. Provide after-hours call coverage involving phone triage, clinical decision-making, and urgent inpatient/outpatient concerns. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, select pharmacologic agents, and manage end-of-life care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner program
- Previous experience in oncology as clinician or nursing
- Licensure as an advanced practice clinician (PA or NP) in the state of Delaware or ability to obtain with offer letter
- DEA licensure or ability to obtain prior to credentialing
- Current BLS certification per American Heart Associate guidelines
- Experience In Hospital Or Acute Care Setting
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
- Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
- Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
- Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
- Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Master of Physician Associate Studies
