Job Summary
Design all body electronics modules, sensors, and actuators from clean sheet through virtual development, testing, and manufacturing launch for all-electric pickup and rugged SUVs. Conduct virtual and physical verification testing, including field trials, while managing supplier resources to meet cost, timing, and quality targets. Lead DFMEA, ISO 26262, and Worst Case Circuit Analysis to ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations. Foster a collaborative culture by promoting continuous learning and proposing system improvements based on consumer experience. Manage production facility design for OEM trucks and SUVs within a six sigma engineering framework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, or combined electrical/mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field
- 15+ years of experience in body electrical and/or electromechanical areas and relevant automotive assignments, covering all phases of product development (design, test, and launch)
- Strong technical skills and expertise in body control systems, employing a six sigma approach to engineering design and problem-solving
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field
- Ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels
