Job Summary
Attend daily briefings, adhere to cleaning schedules, and check/clean assigned areas including shampooing carpets and upholstery. Perform additional duties as instructed, ensure proper garbage disposal, and complete relevant logs to report maintenance issues. Assist with embarkation/debarkation, minimize waste to help achieve budgets, and accurately record working hours including overtime. Follow the Housekeeping Utility Daily/Night Schedule and execute Seabourn HESS-MS protocols. Maintain physical fitness for safety, bending, climbing, and heavy lifting while adhering to strict rules and mutual respect among crew.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or similar
- 1 Year in same position or similar
- Valid passport for a minimum of 6 months
- Flag state issued seaman book
- General flag state or flag state approved marine fitness medical
- United States C1/D visa
- English Marlin test with a minimum score of 80%
- Pre-employment medical examination
- Maintain physical abilities for safety, including bending, climbing, repetitive motion, and heavy lifting
- Maintain physical fitness to perform job tasks
- Flexibility in working hours
- Adherence to strict rules as stipulated by the Master's standing orders
- Working in close proximity with fellow crewmembers requires mutual respect
Desired Qualifications
- Cruise ship experience
- High School diploma or similar preferred
