Job Summary
SBHF Family Support Specialist (Jefferson County - Bilingual) provides in-home support, education, and resources to families via biopsychosocial assessments to support the health, wellbeing, and safety of children and families. Responsibilities include collaborating with families to develop and monitor goals, delivering psychoeducation and coaching using teach-back, promoting independence and protective factors, coordinating referrals and warm handoffs, applying knowledge of federal/state requirements to ensure safety and confidentiality, engaging families in decision-making, crisis intervention, and delivering perinatal/child development education in a culturally humble manner; role requires bilingual Spanish proficiency, travel between multiple sites, and a home-based hybrid work model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service field
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Experience with or providing services to children and families
- Travel between multiple sites is required
- Must be available to work in a home-based hybrid model (evening and occasional weekend hours)
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills
- Maintain boundaries and professional relationships
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
