SBALOI-SBA Loan Officer

Job Summary
Lead representation of the credit union to the local small business market to promote SBA 7(a) loan products; train branch team members on SBA lending; generate and service SBA loans; cross-sell additional products; maintain in-depth knowledge of business services and stay updated on SBA SOPs, eligibility criteria, and loan structures; engage with community organizations and events to build awareness and credibility; provide quality referrals for related business services; cross-train team members and potentially conduct formal training on products and sales techniques; assist with delinquency collections as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- One to four years of commercial banking experience
- SBA 7(a) experience highly desired
- Knowledge of lending, credit analysis preferable in a commercial lending environment
- Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance
- Excellent communication, relationship building and sales skills
