Job Summary
Conduct financial analysis and credit underwriting for SBA 7(a) and Express loans by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess eligibility and cash flows. Prepare and recommend credit packages for management and loan committees while assembling, recording, and maintaining all credit file data in Gesa's underwriting software. Assist Relationship Managers in obtaining necessary documentation, ordering appraisals, and conducting quality assurance prior to loan closing. Perform annual reviews, industry risk analysis, and portfolio monitoring activities, including submitting borrower data to CAIVRS and preparing loan commitment letters.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
- One (1) to two (2) years of similar or related commercial credit analysis experience
- Must be able to work under pressure and manage workflow to provide a high level of member service
- Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office and Outlook software and commercial lending platforms
- Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment credit/background check
Desired Qualifications
- Four (4) year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school is preferred but not required
- One (1) to two (2) years of similar or related commercial credit analysis experience preferred
- Some travel may be required to fulfill duties, career development, and/or responsibilities
